Hello!! All you people who did not come to school, I I I I.. I admire your braveness! Hahahhaa. However, this has got to stop! Besides the point that I miss you guys and all and the teachers making us ring you guys up in the morning. Hahaha. We have to check our papers tomorrow! Tun tun tun tun.... And yea! Hello hello hello! I thought I'll just tell you guys to try out some Math questions! I wouldn't say it's difficult, but we've never done such questions in class. They're from the E Math Prelim papers.

Well, I haven't finished the booklet so I can't tell you all the papers that are good yea! But hey! If you don't have the time to do the whole booklet and just wanna get down to the more difficult schools, try ACS I and SJI. The papers in front are managable and the ones at the back... I haven't done them yet! Hahahaha.

hello fourseven! time totally flies and its prelims already. so make sure yall study hard okay? we MUST MUST MUST do well for prelims cos we need it for the 3mths jc thingum. english is over and done with so dont worry about it anymore. for those of yall who didnt complete the essays,its alright. i didnt finish paper 1 either. ahhhhh! i'm so worried but our orals and compre will hopefully pull our grades up. next week is ss,emath,geog and science prac.

mug hard for ss! prove to mrs tan that we're NOT no-brainers. and we have to totally score for emath so that we wont disappoint mrs khoo. and just make sure you follow the instructions for science practical. for the GEOGIES,concentrate on physical geog since none of us are good at human geog. okay okay okay? All right. I'm repeating it so for those who wants to write it down, they may. All right. The following is just a brief summary of what the Take the City Walk is all about. For truth, I do think that Mrs Selvam has a lot of doubts about it as she kept asking me questions and making it sound as if I'm organising the event. Hear me out! I'm not the one organising it. Yea. If you guys want to know more about it. I hope the following will help you understand this walkathon a little better. And the reason I say my church is part of the walkathon is because we're one of the participating partners. So yea. Don't worry! The proceeds doesn't go to my church but Touch Community Services. Enjoy!

Take the City Walk 2006 is organised by Touch Community Services. TOUCH Community Services is a not-for-profit voluntary welfare organisation. It was officially registered in 1992 and have been a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) since 1994. TOUCH is committed to the well-being of all people, reaching out to various levels of needs in the community. Our mission is to establish and provide for the needy and disadvantaged in our society an integrated network of community-based services that strengthens the family, believing that every individual is unique and capable of reaching his or her highest potential.

20 000 walkers will throng the city in exuberant celebration of Singapore as a giving community. This charity walkathon aims to raise $600 000 as a gift for the needy and disadventaged. These contributions will certainly help TOUCH to continue their services and programmes among our clients. Take the City Walk is in conjuction with National Day Celebrations 2006.

Did you guys know that when you eat shark fins and all, they actually cut the shark's fins out and throw them back into the sea? In certain countries that you go to, if you dive into the oceans, you'll actually find tons of sharks, finless and dead. Yup. Pretty saddening. Anti-Shark Fins! Yup. I guess, many people say that they world's short of fuel and all. At the rate they kill the sharks, they're probably gonna have more fuel in about a 100 years time. =)

All right. I know this class blog is getting monotonous. Everyday's about more homework and tests. I was reading The Straits Times today. Yes yes. Go read the Forum on the article about "Why disallow use of correction tape in PSLE?"

Okay. I guess some of you don't have the newspaper and all. So.. I'll just type it here. It's a ridiculous article.

MY SON, who will be sitting for his Primary School LeavingExamination (PSLE) this year, was given a booklet, Instructions To Candidate, by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).
His teacher highlighted Point 12 on Page 2 of the booklet which states, "Do not use correction tape/liquid paper. If you need to change your answers, corss out the answers neatly and re-write the answers starting on a new line."
I seek clarification from the SEAB on the following, especially with refard to the use of correction tape:
>> What is the rationale behind this instruction?
>> Is this a new instruction? If it is, why introduce it now, just 3 months before the PSLE?
>> If it is not a new instruction, why was this not highlighted to the pupils earlier?
>> If this is a standing instruction, then correction tape/liquid paper should have been banned in schools to prevent pupils from getting used to them, so that they can get used to thinking through their answers and getting them written correction with minimal crossing out and re-writing. As it is, using the correction tape is part and parcel of a pupils school work.
The suffestion to "Cross out the answers neatly and re-write the answers starting on a new line" is impractical and a waste of time, especially so in a Mathematics examination, where corssing out an answer could be perceived as part of the working. It is easier and faster for the pupil and less confusing for the marker, if he could simply use the correction tape to "erase" his mistake. Also the overall presentation of his answer will be clearer and neater.
Furthermore, Question/Answer booklets are used during PSLE. Hence, if a pupils has used up the space given for an answer, where should he re-write his answer when he realises that a major part of it is wrong?

I don't really know what are your views on this parent. Apparently it seems like kids these days are pampered by their parents and all. I don't know. All the trouble just because of a sentence in the instruction booklet? Hahaha. Right. Let's not judge that poor man. But! If you ever get a question regarding kids being pampered these few days. Yes yes. This is one example where the parents goes all out for the kid just because of a correction tape. =)

i bet everyone is dreading the hit-the-books period and is already getting disgusted with the touch of your books/notes etc. heh. if you're the interactive learning styles kind of person who would prefer learning by sight and sound, do take a look at this site:

Hihi... yup... It seems as though it's 100% our fault. Ya.. we have to admit : a few of us don't hand in our work, most of us talk in class, etc.... But it's (I would say,30% of the teacher's fault). Their attitude and teaching method.. sometimes it just doesn't suit ourselves and even demoralises us.. It's like our class is already considered very good. Is it because that we are good and now the teacher's demands have gone up...?? Really don't understand the teachers.... And really empathise those people who own up for something they didn't do just for the sake of our class. However. I'm afraid that your sacriface is pointless.. Teacher's point of view: it's not a matter of how many people sacriface themselves.. but a matter of whether real culprits to own up..Analogy; Will you be satisfied if you prepare to cook herbal chicken and what you can only get is potatoes? The com members think that whatever the class does wrong, you all will get the blame, right? yup.. I agree to that.. but it doesn't mean that whatever wrong the class did, it's your fault. The teachers are unhappy cause of mainly our attitude towards work . Even though the com should motivate the class, but how much can you all do?? attitude towards our work is about a person's character, upbringing and perspective, it's up to herself to change it, again, how much can you do about that?? of course, do try your best in giving her moral support. However, if you know you did your best and still failed, at least you put in effort and that's too bad for her man. She doesn't appreciate your kind effort.

All right all right. I guess most of us got affected by what happened today after school, whether it affected you greatly or not? Hahaha. Char's always on the side of 4.7. All right. Maybe people might disagree with that, but I'm really on your side although I don't show it?

I guess there's something that was completely left out during, the talk and all. I guess most of you would have realised the fact that, 4.7's getting the entire blame for it, I must say we did play a part when it comes to creating an environment that isn't exactly what teachers hope to be, condusive. Some of us perpetually handing in late assignments for certain personal reasons. Of course not forgetting other miscellaneous stuffs. All right, that's all our fault. Maybe it's even our fault for making the teachers go berserk.

I guess the teachers forgot one point that constantly lingers in my head. Of course, there's a high possibility that the cause of it would be our fault. What I'm trying to say is that teachers come in looking glum and unhappy. Let's face it, some of our teachers are like that. I don't really know whether it's because of their personal problems outside school, maybe some misunderstanding between the teachers and us or some other things. I don't know what you guys are thinking of feeling, but sometimes when I see the teachers, I get this feeling especially when they start talking where it goes "Oh man, it's 4.7 again". Bear in mind that this is entirely my opinion.

I don't know. I guess as a student, there are many things that people demand from us? Remember those days when we used to be so darn quiet, it was a problem to the teachers. Now that we're so darn noisy, it has become another problem. We always try to change to please the teachers, but somehow or another, we just don't seem to be able to please them? I guess that's the tough part of being a student. I'm not only talking about the noise level? In studies, teachers give us answers, 5 mins later, they have a simliar answer with more details, sometimes less, and you wonder to yourself, which one should I be using to score the marks and please the teachers. Roar.

Enough said. We'll just try our best when it comes to class issues. I mean, even if we don't make it to the standard that all our subject teachers want, as long as we tried, I guess it's good enough for us right? Right.

Hey. I thought I should write this out? Our class aim has always been "class bonding", but really. How much have we truly achieved it?? Well, of course I'm not gonna say my personal opinion about how much we have achieved it? I guess. I just wanna give you guys an advice? It's easier to do well for your exams or O's if you guys help each other out? Yup. You're not at a loss with sharing information with others.

Why am I saying this? The History project brought some stuffs out? Like, "Hey, it's unfair, I'm doing so much and the rest are not doing their part". All right. This has got nothing to do with the History project.

Yea. Just help each other out. I mean, you don't have to be perfect in helping, but if someone comes to you like, "Hey, could you teach me something?", be the one to say yes. You're gonna learn a lot from it. I guess even if you guys don't agree with me at all, there's no harm trying. And and and, it's not a force yea??
